Pumping station control systems


Modern production technologies require enormous pumping speeds. Just imagine that you need to evacuate a volume of 630 cubic meters. This is equivalent to the volume of a small house. Today, systems with cameras of this size are used for electron beam welding of parts weighing up to 50 tons and dimensions up to 6 · 12 · 5 meters. An electron beam power of 40 kW allows to reach a depth of weldability of up to 100 millimeters in steel and up to 150 millimeters in aluminum. This requires a vacuum of 5 · 10E-4 mbar. In addition, high pumping speeds allow for increased work efficiency.
