The PGS 300 is the most powerful flexible grater/shredder made by Alexanderwerk. Depending on the raw material and the working cylinder, the PGS 300 will process the material at a throughput rate of between 1,000 and 4,000 kg/hr.
The PGS 300 has been developed based upon the many years of experience of Alexanderwerk in the design and manufacture of grater/shredders:
- Made of stainless steel 1.4404
- Gas-tight gearbox design
- One-piece gear box made of cast stainless steel
- Optional pharma execution
- Optional Ex-design (ATEX)
- Optional ”Wash In Place“ (WIP) design
- Optional water-cooling of drive shaft
The PGS 300 is also available as a mobile unit with a trolley. So, this may be your first choice for processing smaller batches of different products at different locations. Alternatively, the PGS 300 may be installed inline as a flanged design version.
A whole range of grating or shredding cylinders are available for processing the most varied raw materials of different consistencies, and different grain sizes or grain geometries can thus be produced.
In addition to different perforations or cutting geometries, three design versions of a working cylinder are available for the PGS 300:
- Working cylinder, 300 mm
- Working cylinder, 165 mm – this working cylinder has an increased wing power as compared to the 300mm cylinder. This design version is preferably used to process viscous and sticky materials
(e.g. instant tea).
- Conical working cylinder – with this working cylinder, the cylinder opening tapers from 300 mm at the top to 165 mm at the bottom. This method is mainly used for very fine shredding.
This machine is very safe and easy to use. The motor will switch off whenever the filling hopper is removed. The cylinders can be easily replaced without using any special tools.
